Exploring the Phuong Mai Peninsula Quy Nhon

When looking for things to do in Quy Nhon I came across images of spectacular and secluded beaches in the area. Determined to find them, I managed to find a great tourist map (I’ve attached it below) which indicated they were all located on the Phuong Mai Peninsula, about 8km north east of Quy Nhon City. Mui Ne is a coastal town about 5 hours north of Ho Chi Minh City. Interestingly, what most travellers call Mui Ne is Ham Tien, a town between Mui Ne and Pham Thiet. These days the area is largely a tourist region with resorts and restaurants lining an extremely long section of coast line. Catering to tourists the area has lost its ‘Vietnamese feel’ but most places also don’t cater very well to foreigners so there’s a strange vibe around. There’s a lot of talk among travellers these days. Is it worth visiting Mui Ne? We think its worth a visit, even if only for a short stay. There’s plenty of things to do in Mui Ne Vietnam at night, the red and white sand dunes, the mui ne fishing villiage and of course the beach.
